Founded by Kirsty Anne Powell in 2003, Oromono was one of the first companies to put three dimensional textile designs into the interior. The concept was created with the intension to add a visual impact through the use of sculptural forms constructed with fabric. Inspired by nature, Oromono products are handmade to create character within a room with ascents of fabric manipulation, texture and stitch. Oromono has create exclusive collections for The Conran Shop, Heals of London, Barneys of New York and the interior lifestyle store Cibone in Japan.

Lene Frantzen is educated as an Art Designer in textiles from the Art and Design Academy. The items are designed by Lene Frantzen. Her unique technique, developed over the last 20 years, makes Lenes textile art work quite exceptional. Eva Helene Rasmussen is educated in shipping, marketing and business management. More than 15 years of experience and extensive networking makes Eva highly qualified to manage customer care and business arrangements.

The SLICE is a pad for chairs and benches, made from dyed wool, which has been rolled up, fulled and subsequently sliced. This technique produces a series of interesting patterns resembling the annual rings of a tree-trunk. The SLICE is available in a range of exciting colours.

Wool is dirt repellent and the cushions should hardly ever be cleaned - especially not machine-washed. In case of stains try first with a little water. Wait till the water has dissolved the stain and press with a dry cloth. The cushion can also be douched lightly in running water. Press out the water, do not wring. Kirsty Anne Powell graduated in 2000 with a first class honours degree in textile design from Loughborough University, England. She then began her career as a freelance textile designer and stylist in London. After styling within the industry for a year, she moved to Amsterdam. Living in such a creative city surrounded by such inspirational design. Kirsty decided start her own label and set up her own textile design company.

Founder and Design Director of Oromono, Amsterdam, Kirsty Anne Powell began her successful design career in Britain. She graduated from Loughborough University in 2000 with a First class Honours Degree in Textile Design and was later awarded the title MCSD when she became a professional member of The Chartered Society of Designers. Kirstys talent and inspiration was highlighted when she sold her first collection to Donna Karan Home in 2003. News about her design concepts began to spread across Europe. In 2004, exhibiting for the first time at the Maison & Objet Interior Show in Paris, Kirsty won the Best Newcomer in Textiles Award. She was also granted a bursary by the European Union to exhibit the Oromono collection at The Interiors Lifestyle Show, Tokyo in June 2004. Oromono accessories are now being sold in Europe, USA and Japan.
