This tea thermos is a real find for serious lovers of tea. The thermos is made by the Fuguang Company in Sanhe City, Anui Province, famous throughout China for its top-end tea thermoses. In addition, it is lined with ''purple sand'' clay from Yixing City, famous for its clay teapots. Teapots made with purple sand clay gradually season the longer you use them, until, it is said, that eventually you don't even need to put tea leaves in the pot anymore. So in this tea thermos you get the best of both worlds: a sturdy, portable tea thermos that you can take to work and refill with hot water all day long, and a tea connoisseur's Yixing teapot to befit the finest tea leaves. ote the strainer (pictured). It fits inside the thermos and filters out the tea leaves as you sip the tea. Also, the top has little white balls inside a clear plastic casing. The balls stay dry, showing that the top is watertight.
