I cannot say whose presence is more prominent in this dress that I would give up, say, 80% of my wonderful wardrobe to own [& then, of course, need to wear to shreds]. In my never particularly humble but often accurate opinion, the greatest studio costume designer of all time, Mr Adrian I did not think could be improved upon by ANY particular printmaker, famous painter, coprophagist, confused neo-fascist, scenester & instructor of my father at Cooper Union, notw/standing. But he could. For a seemingly single moment Salvador D:Gilbert A as Celia B:Ossie C & this, indeed, effectively & profoundly. Before or after the painter's more famous Hollywood filmic association w/ Alfred Hitchcock, I know not off the top of my head. I could look it up but I'm too tired, too overwhelmed w/ work.
