The focal portion of this necklace is a Marta Howell Pendant. An exquisite design created from shells found in Hawaii surrounded by a thick Sterling silver setting, and stamped with Marta Howell .925. It measures 1 1/4 inches wide x 2 inches long. The coloring in the pendant does not show the depth and rich beauty of the shell, due to my lack of photographic expertise. There is a variety of browns, tans, & Ivory coloring with the look of abalone background. At the base of the pendant is a Smoky Quartz gemstone. The pendant is attached to a Bali silver tube bail. Round 10mm Smoky Quartz gemstone beads and Pearls create the remainder of this necklace. The Pearls are dyed. The toggle clasp has a dangle consisting of a Bali shell bead, and a seahorse. This necklace is 17 inches long.

Layers upon layers of dichroic glass pieces give this pendant it's unique patchwork look. It is absolutely striking in appearance and there will never be another one exactly like it! This is a solid piece made of numerous tiers of clear and dichroic glasses. Then it is shaped in the glass grinder to give it those great edges and round shape. Finally it is returned to the kiln one last time to be fire polished. Only compatible glasses are used to ensure strength and durability of every piece I make. Pendant measures 1 1/4" round diameter and is attached to a silver plated bail. The surface of the pendant is textured glass for added interest to the piece. Comes in a pretty jewelry gift box.

Each glass "gemstone" is made by individually cutting and fusing dichroic glass in my kiln several times till the desired effect and strength is achieved. I carefully work silver PMC around the finished glass. It is then returned to the kiln, sanded, finished, polished, and buffed. The end result is that the vibrant glass "stone" is beautifully framed by fine silver.
