Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper perhaps put us in mind of their eager colleagues, they are quite allowed to show character and make us smile with their endearing idiosyncrasies – the main thing is that we like to take them in our hand – and that frequently. Because that is their only payment, a tip would not impress them.

Milk and sugar set by Ritzenhoff Good old afternoon tea! These days the old biddies, their gatherings and cakes are almost extinct, but nobody likes to drink their coffee or tea alone. It would be just too dark and bitter without accompanying milk and sugar. No longer is insufficient space for the entire tea or coffee service an excuse for broken sugar cubes or dribbling milk cans. Because now Ritzenhoff is putting two in one on the table – while dressing the milk jug in a hat full of sugar. The only thing missing is a seductive face. And because doing things together is better than doing things alone, Ritzenhoff's porcelain collection decorated with faces has been joined by nice couples so that singles now have the right company.... and the best thing is: nobody interrupts anybody! Six different motifs by famous designers from all over the world are available.

With 12 new decors, the Amore Mio family has arrived – welcoming us with the sun in its heart and a charming smile. Born in 1965, artist in Schesslitz, Germany. Grew up in the lower Rhine region, studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her little people range across pictures, stages and facades. She fools around with clowns and dreams of painting in large formats on airships or even the Great Wall of China. "It's just great to be human." – If there's enough space, Petra Peschkes can always provide an image for this message.

From Naples to Milan – a culture shock if ever there was one. After years in the metropolis that is Milan, Beppe Facente still feels drawn to the sea and the air, and his studies at the prestigious Milan Politechnico have taken nothing from his Neapolitan ›joie de vivre‹. His designs for pieces of pottery and glass, stage-sets and exhibitions are populated by whimsical forms and figures, a world apart from workaday routine and one into which Beppe would slip away altogether if he could.

Long awaited and here at last – breakfast plates by Ritzenhoff. Complementing Ritzenhoff's successful porcelain collection with another product. But even better: the designs perfectly match the Amore Mio cups created by the same designers. And voila: Ritzenhoff's first set has arrived. There are many reasons for an Intermezzo: the start to a new day, the conclusion of an important business deal, the kids are asleep at last, brainstorming for a new project, the weather's too bad to go out, good friends are visiting, you're finally home, simply chilling out – there's always time for a break – and not only at breakfast. And so it's fitting that Ritzenhoff takes us away for a brief moment into a new world when we look at the plate, sets our minds wandering with Michal Shalev's motif, tells the story of the cat woman with Petra Peschkes' design or takes us to Monsieur Jacques in France with Auge's creation.

Portrait Vases by Ritzenhoff The portrait marks the birth of the individual: it was only in the 14th century that people discovered the person as an individual. Mankind separated from the godly, took its own fate in its hand and documented this step by creating images of itself. The first portraits of ndividuals have their origin in this period where personal traits dominate the vague profiles of religious motifs – art appears to come alive.

The highlight of the week – Sunday. Not the shrill ringing of the alarm clock but the aroma of coffee gently draws you out of the embrace of sleep. A blue sky. A day full of promise. Go with the flow. All that free time and you can decide how to spend it. Seat yourself at the breakfast table like a king ... and what would Sunday breakfast be without the essential egg! Ritzenhoff has found new friends. Ritzenhoff FRIENDS proudly present breakfast at its best. Real friends who are permitted to take part in the ritual of eating that egg and won’t draw revealing conclusions: the way in which a person chops the top off the egg or sensitively peels away the shell until its rounded shapes are revealed. Breakfast pleasures are only shared with true friends.
