Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper perhaps put us in mind of their eager colleagues, they are quite allowed to show character and make us smile with their endearing idiosyncrasies the main thing is that we like to take them in our hand and that frequently. Because that is their only payment, a tip would not impress them.

Born in 1965, designer in Varennes, Canada. Childhood and training as a silk painter in Morocco, move to Canada, career in advertising, opened own design shop, parallel work as an artist marked by ethnic influences from Berber and native Canadian culture. Is there a nicer way to start the day?

Milk and sugar set by Ritzenhoff Good old afternoon tea! These days the old biddies, their gatherings and cakes are almost extinct, but nobody likes to drink their coffee or tea alone. It would be just too dark and bitter without accompanying milk and sugar. No longer is insufficient space for the entire tea or coffee service an excuse for broken sugar cubes or dribbling milk cans. Because now Ritzenhoff is putting two in one on the table while dressing the milk jug in a hat full of sugar. The only thing missing is a seductive face. And because doing things together is better than doing things alone, Ritzenhoff's porcelain collection decorated with faces has been joined by nice couples so that singles now have the right company.... and the best thing is: nobody interrupts anybody! Six different motifs by famous designers from all over the world are available.

With 12 new decors, the Amore Mio family has arrived welcoming us with the sun in its heart and a charming smile. Born in 1965, artist in Schesslitz, Germany. Grew up in the lower Rhine region, studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her little people range across pictures, stages and facades. She fools around with clowns and dreams of painting in large formats on airships or even the Great Wall of China. "It's just great to be human." If there's enough space, Petra Peschkes can always provide an image for this message.

Sooner than expected: new additions to Ritzenhoffs Piggybank Family. The Minipiggybanks have arrived. Only half as high as the tall ones but with full Ritzenhoff design potential, the tiny look-alikes have been released into the wild to thrive on our savings. And as is proper for piggybanks, they do not possess any other opening except for the coin slot. So in the event, slaughter is the order of the day. But who would want to slaughter such cute little things just for a few pennies? Happily theres that trick with the knitting needle and if that doesnt help, therell always be a secret reserve for the really hard times. Until then, their unusual Ritzenhoff design means that they remain a nice eye-catcher.

Whether as cubes, as powder or as icing: sugar is omnipresent in a variety of guises. Its most authentic shape, however, remains the sugar loaf, a result of the procedures used in the past to produce it: the Persians used to fill hot sugar-cane juice into cone-shaped wooden vessels. An opening in the apex allowed the substances containing no sugar to escape from the crystallizing sugar mass. The result was a sugar loaf which in the end also gave its name to the legendary mountain at the Ipanema and which came to epitomize sweet life. These authentic form have marked the new collection by Ritzenhoff as you can see at a glance and with the name Ipanema, a well-known beach in Brazil, it is also a homage to the legendary mountain and the sweet life of Latin America.

From Naples to Milan a culture shock if ever there was one. After years in the metropolis that is Milan, Beppe Facente still feels drawn to the sea and the air, and his studies at the prestigious Milan Politechnico have taken nothing from his Neapolitan joie de vivre. His designs for pieces of pottery and glass, stage-sets and exhibitions are populated by whimsical forms and figures, a world apart from workaday routine and one into which Beppe would slip away altogether if he could.

Long awaited and here at last breakfast plates by Ritzenhoff. Complementing Ritzenhoff's successful porcelain collection with another product. But even better: the designs perfectly match the Amore Mio cups created by the same designers. And voila: Ritzenhoff's first set has arrived. There are many reasons for an Intermezzo: the start to a new day, the conclusion of an important business deal, the kids are asleep at last, brainstorming for a new project, the weather's too bad to go out, good friends are visiting, you're finally home, simply chilling out there's always time for a break and not only at breakfast. And so it's fitting that Ritzenhoff takes us away for a brief moment into a new world when we look at the plate, sets our minds wandering with Michal Shalev's motif, tells the story of the cat woman with Petra Peschkes' design or takes us to Monsieur Jacques in France with Auge's creation.

Portrait Vases by Ritzenhoff The portrait marks the birth of the individual: it was only in the 14th century that people discovered the person as an individual. Mankind separated from the godly, took its own fate in its hand and documented this step by creating images of itself. The first portraits of ndividuals have their origin in this period where personal traits dominate the vague profiles of religious motifs art appears to come alive.

The so-called stem vase doesn't bunch the flower stems together but gives each stem its own shaft. In contrast to the overflowing bouquet, this simple shape intends to isolate the individual blossom and thus brings its unique magnificence to the centre of attention. With ChouChou, Ritzenhoff has rediscovered the stem vase design.

The highlight of the week Sunday. Not the shrill ringing of the alarm clock but the aroma of coffee gently draws you out of the embrace of sleep. A blue sky. A day full of promise. Go with the flow. All that free time and you can decide how to spend it. Seat yourself at the breakfast table like a king ... and what would Sunday breakfast be without the essential egg! Ritzenhoff has found new friends. Ritzenhoff FRIENDS proudly present breakfast at its best. Real friends who are permitted to take part in the ritual of eating that egg and wont draw revealing conclusions: the way in which a person chops the top off the egg or sensitively peels away the shell until its rounded shapes are revealed. Breakfast pleasures are only shared with true friends.

Mon Amour my passion. The day draws to a close, work is over. At last time for yourself. You change into comfy clothes, put on your nice warm socks and make yourself comfortable on the sofa with the book you had to put aside last night because you were too sleepy. This hour of relaxation is crowned with a nice café au lait and you warm your hands on the large bowl. A glance at Ritzenhoff's new café au lait bowls, which are decorated with funny faces, improves your mood. You lean back with satisfaction and think, "It's a good life..." But why only in the evening: the Mon Amour bowls are also ideal as muesli bowls and with the "Friends" eggcups and a cup from Ritzenhoff's "My Darling", "My Little Darling" or "Amore Mio" collections, they make the perfect breakfast set. Is there a nicer way to start the day?

Milk is milk is milk but the glasses change. The icing on the cake, crème de la crème or simply stirred, not shaken: milk wins hands down. Milk has become a fashionable drink again the milk moustaches worn by celebrities in the famous milk campaign speak volumes. In Germany the secret heraldic animal is no longer a holy cow. Germany has now been discovered as the place to holiday where people join groups to learn how to milk cows out on the alpine meadows. No wonder: milk is a natural drink and an innocent one at that. And that's where the new milk collections by Ritzenhoff come in to their own.

Born in 1974, designer in Shanghai, China. Traditional Chinese motives combined with a modern expression: Zhi Ji has repeatedly turned to this contrast since graduating as a designer. By placing traditional patterns and symbols in the context of clear contemporary forms, Zhi Ji creates unique graphic designs as powerful as the dragon, Chinas national symbol. For the design of his milk glass, Zhi Ji has been inspired by ancient mythical elements: Both the phoenix and dragon are ascending together into the sky as a symbol of fortune and confidence in the future. This is the artists first project for Ritzenhoff.
