One of the best rayon hostess gowns I have ever seen. The actual color is a bit more of a true peach then what is pictured and the fabric is that perfect silk of the 30s and 40s. It zips to close at the front with a metal zipper, has great puffy sleeves and flows perfectly. The colors are crisp and bright and I just cannot rave enough about this dress. It is in perfect condition and you will not be disapointed when you take it out of the box upon arrival!

Dresses like this are why girls fall hard for forties frocks and collect them and hoard them, whether they wear em or not! I think I am nuts to be putting this up so snatch it up quick! Its a deep green and features a print that has pagodas and flowers and mountains. The shoulders are gathered and there is an amazing stitching detail across the front. It buttons all the way down the front. Best of all - it is made out of that incomparable silky rayon from the forties. Just to Die! It is priced very reasonably and is a tremendous bargain as these prints are getting harder and harder to find!

Okay, I'm going to take a nap but this is the best Ceil Chapman I have ever seen--& i've seen more than a few, certainly. It's also in the rare, what Ebay designates "wearable size"--in this case, a medium. Some of these were certainly created by Ceil Chapman [she was favorited by MMonroe, who wore not the size zero], but they are like chickens teeth in a haystack to find. If you can afford it, as the economy crashes at all of our feet, oh--this is the one to buy.
