A work of art out of leather
I admire handmade leather satchel from old, master British craftsmen. Out of that admiration, I can say that I now own a piece of their art in the shape of a 14” chestnut brown leather satchel which has been hand crafted in England in a factory where they have been making them for more than 40 years.
These British vintage satchel making company is so professional they have all sorts of add-ons and varieties, such as gold or silver hardware, classic buckle closure giving it the feeling of a more vintage satchel or a more practical and modern magnetic closure which still has the same look as a vintage leather satchel but with the fast open/close of a magnet button.
Regardless if you get the magnetic closure or the classic buckle closure on your new leather satchel, you can elongate the straps to fit a rolled up jacket when the British weather suddenly warms up a tad.
The 14” can fit what I haul around everyday around Britain plus much more, since it is designed to fit a laptop computer hence the additional option on all sized satchel of a top handle. I am always looking to look smart and presentable. Professional yet fashionable, and this vintage satchel does the trick for me. It is also sturdier than the smaller leather satchel when you add the top handle as they add a reinforcer on the top of the flap, maybe taking away half or a quarter of an inch from the height of the bag but giving me the flexibility to carry it by hand. Another fantastic option is to make it convertible to a backpack. This is called the 3-in1 leather satchel. It can be carried across the body, hand held or carried in your back, as a backpack leather satchel, fun. Since this bag can last a lifetime I prefer the 3-in-1 options as I can pass it on to any future children of mine. They would be the cutest teenagers in school with their leather satchel just like some kids in the Harry Potter film.
IN case I want to carry everything, plus my kitchen sink in it, I got a shoulder pad for it. Worth every penny as I love buying magazines while waiting for the bus or riding the train and I don’t stop at just one magazine. And sure some may ask why have a leather satchel in the Fall when it rains so much, because it is a classic, vintage satchel that never goes out of style and with proper care will last a lifetime come rain or shine.
