Shimmering copper satin is embroidered with gold and silver floral designs on this late 1950's full-skirted party dress. The fitted bodice is boned for extra support and is held up with tiny satin straps. The fitted bodice section reaches to the top the hips, except in the center front, where it curves just above the waist. Below the waist, the skirt is quite full, gathered at the sides and back, and with two soft pleats in the center front. The skirt is draped over two layers of attached "crinoline", the outer one of muslin and the inner one is tulle. The dress closes with a metal zipper in the back, and the attached crinoline closes at the waist with a hook and eye. This lovely party dress is in very good condition.
