This exuberant piece hails from the Glass Pumpkin and Squash series, a collection of exquisitely detailed works characterized by fanciful twists of silver luster glass (made from the studio's proprietary formula) that lend each stem and leaf its own unique nuance and finesse. Multiple hues of glass are layered under a casing of clear glass, the optical qualities of which magnify the brilliance of color. Measures 3 1/2" in diameter, 7" high.

One of my favorite Northern California artists makes these hearts exclusively for NapaStyle in her shop. She reclaims the metal rings used to hold wine barrels together; then she forms them by hand into these beautiful ornaments.
