Fabiani is still considered one of Italys best designers from the 1950s and 60s. This dress is fashioned from vibrant royal blue rayon velvet. The wide bateau neckline has a notch at the front left that is edged with boning to support the shape. There is a draped sash at the left side waist. The narrow belt slips through the loop of the sash. The sleeves are cut-in-one with the body of the dress. There is a center back metal zipper and the dress is unlined. Original price $145.00. The notched neckline is accented with cream faille inserts that have been machine sewn in place, but are easily removeable if desired. The short sleeves have fold-back cuffs. Tucks sewn at the front waist fall open into unpressed pleats below the hips. The dress closes with rhinestone buttons at the front from neckline to hips and is unlined. There are slim cotton-filled shoulder pads.
