Aalto's intriguing Model 41 Paimio arm chair can be found in numerous museums including the Museum of Modern Art. The frame is laminated birch bent into a closed curve with solid birch cross-rails. The seat is molded from one piece of birch plywood. The springy plywood fixed on a closed frame was Aalto's 1931 brainstorm for making a wooden chair "soft". Made in Finland by Artek.

The iconic "We Are Happy To Serve You" paper coffee cup was introduced in 1963, and more than 180 million are used in New York City every year. The designer, and founder of the environmentally minded design group, Exceptionlab, worked with both the Sweetheart Cup Company, Inc. and Aid to Artisans to convert the design from disposable to permanent, from paper to ceramic. Reveal Watch Daniel Will-Harris, 2001 Truly unique in its display of time, the minutes and hours fade in and out as time passes. Part of the Projects series, where architects and designers are commissioned to craft timepieces, Reveal is the work of computer graphics pioneer Daniel Will-Harris. The only analog watch to read in a digital manner, it features a soft leather strap and a stainless steel case. A pamphlet inside gives a biography of the designer and his inspiration behind the piece.
