Molo Design

Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen of Forsythe + MacAllen Design, www.forsythe-macallen.com, have been operating a multi-disciplinary design studio since 1996 and are currently based in Vancouver, Canada. Their early projects, before and after earning their Masters Degrees in Architecture in 2000, were a series of houses in Canada and the United States that they both designed and built. These projects have since won international awards and have been published in several design and architecture books and magazines around the world.

    textile softwall expands up to 200 times its compressed size to form a beautiful, white, translucent freestanding wall of between 8 to 20 feet (2.5m - 6m) in length.     paper softseating is made entirely from kraft paper, utilizing a flexible honeycomb structure to fan open into stools, benches and loungers. Each of the sizes and types of softseating can compress like a big book for storage. Available in natural, unbleached brown kraft paper and kraft paper that has been dyed a deep black with bamboo charcoal ink to emphasize the geometric pattern of light and shadow in the paper seating.     black paper softwall is a beautiful, lightweight, freestanding wall that can be arranged into almost any shape, or easily compressed into a compact sheaf and stored away. Unlike the white version, which is translucent, black paper softwall is opaque, and has a completely different influence on a space. It is rich and saturated with a subtle velvety sheen, reminiscent of a charcoal log. The ends of black paper softwall are finished in black wool felt.

The fritted tea lantern is identical to the clear tea lantern except it has been glazed with a borosilicate frit, which creates a luminous translucent finish. When the tea light candle is lit, the fritted tea lantern glows with a mysterious diffuse quality of light. The fritted glassware is a delight to both see and touch.
