Born in Poland, but raised in England, Barbara Hulanicki began her career in Fashion in the early 1960's working as a freelance fashion illustrator covering all the important fashion collections for the major publications of the day, including Women's Wear Daily, British Vogue, the Times, the Observer and the Sunday Times. In 1964 she founded, with her late husband, Stephen Fitz-Simon, the boutique BIBA, beginning as a small mail-order business featured in the fashion columns of newspapers such as the DAILY MIRROR. The Cavern Home Navajo Wallpaper makes me want to share a story: This past weekend I was home in the 100 degree dry Colorado heat and all I could think about was the longing for rain. The solution: teach your 2.5 year old niece how to do a makeshift rain dance. We danced our hearts out then ran outside. It took a few minutes but lo and behold it started to rain huge refreshing drops. We spent the next hour running around in the rain getting absolutely drenched. Now that I see the Cavern Home Navajo Wallpaper I feel inclined to buy a roll and make it into some fun wall art to commemorate our rain creating experience.

I just about hit the ceiling in excitement (see adjacent photo) when I saw the new Marcel Wanders wallpapers from Graham & Brown. Marcels pieces are remarkably bold and rich, creating a wall that is no longer just a wall but a showcase for design. I cant even begin to fathom how dramatically different my place would be if I had his extraordinary pieces on the walls of my apartment. Id probably be glued to the walls in love.

Oh lordy, Graham and Brown have sparked a major hankering with their new Paintables wallpapers. You may have seen my space which I entered in the Apartment Therapys Cool Small contest (not cool enough to win, unfortunately). The place is has a ton of character, but it needs a little something extra on the super white walls. The answer has come to me, thank you very much, Graham and Brown texture! Without a doubt I am a corduory person, but I may need even more spice than that how about the small squares or jazz?
