Cuffed hems on each wide leg lead the way for stilettos, oxfords, or cork wedge sandals. I once saw a black and white photograph of Katharine Hepburn wearing such sandals with cuffed, wide leg pants when I was 15. Among all the satin cocktail dress-wearing, glamorous beauties I admired, Katharine stood out to me in her sophisticated, femme-tomboy look. I made a girlish attempt to copy the look (and elegance) by adding a white collared shirt and ruby red lipstick.
