When developing Magma Stone, the designer Pernille Vea gathered inspiration from the glowing interior of the earth. The burning red, orange or yellow glazing sharply contrasts the dark, charcoal grey exterior resembling coagulated lava. Both outside in the garden and inside in the living room, the Magma Stone resembles a vivid picture of the primordial forces of the earth. Design: Pernille Vea Material: Frost-proof, glazed dolomite

The Menu Hurricane spreads a cheerful light and atmosphere anywhere outdoors – on the garden or patio table or placed artfully in the sand when you gather for a barbecue at the beach; at cafés and restaurants on outdoor tables; on picnics or outings in the woods that last long into the summer night. The hurricane shares both its cone shape and materials with the award-winning Menu Torch, introduced last year to universal acclaim. Withstands all sorts of weather, even below freezing. May be used with small and large tea-lights, and may also be used indoors. Made of frosted glass, brushed metal and black rubber. Design: Pernille Vea

Outdoor tea-light lantern, for hanging on branches and twigs in the garden. The glass's frosted surface gives the lantern a characteristic, opal-white light. Made of heatproof and weatherproof materials like the rest of the Garden Series. Burns for a long time with a serene flame thanks to its storm lid, which protects it against wind and weather without blocking its supply of oxygen. The rubber holder opens and closes easily, using a simple snap-fastener that makes it easy to place the hanging lantern exactly where you want it – even on branches that are hard to reach. The hanging lantern was awarded the FORM 2003 Prize in August 2003. Design: Pernille Vea

The inspiration for the Tulip tealight holder came from the world of flowers and Asian design. When you light the candle, the colour from the interior of the candleholder radiates and illuminates the room, creating an almost poetic atmosphere. The holder handsomely adorns windowsills, shelves, staircases, coffee tables, desks and meeting tables. Combine several of them – either in a row or in a group as luminous water lilies. If you want to emphasise the floral mood, you can choose to use tealights with beautiful relaxing aromas such as rose, eucalyptus and jasmine. Design: Pil Bredahl

The Menu Image Lantern illuminates drawings, patterns, colours, quotations or photographs from within. Decorate a paper shade, wrap it around the glass, light the tealight – and see it all in a whole new light. No matter how you choose to dress your lantern, the image lantern can be used on its own. If you place several of them together in a group, however, they will become a collection of glowing icons, a shadow play or a living photo album. Download shade! The image lantern is available in boxes of one or two. Design: Pernille Vea

The Fireball, which burns brightly and beautifully in the garden in both summer and winter, is part of Menu's extensive garden series. The Fireball uses ordinary tealights, and can either be placed directly on the ground – e.g. in the grass or the snow – or fitted into its accompanying rubber stand and placed along the terrace, on the garden table or by the front door. Use the Fireballs singly, or put them together in small, twinkling clusters that will glow in the dark of winter or the bright summer night. Design: Pernille Vea
