Good design is good design. So it seems totally natural that someone who started off streamlining Sony tape decks and birth control packages would launch her own line of shoes. Chalk it up to a midlife crisis, but when award-winning industrial designer Martha Davis couldn't find the right pair, she decided to make a career change. Turns out, the shoe fit. The result is an inventive collection that stems from the intersection of form and function. Davis says she likes to think of shoes as little products or architecture for the feet, so her shoes are as much about purpose and organization as they are about personality. But we just think they are just plain good.
