Mibo designer Madeleine Rogers launched her first collection of lampshades in 2001. Laurel Floor Lamp w/ Flying Saucer Shade and Tulip base This early Laurel floor lamp predates its more famous cousin the Laurel Mushroom lamp. Its stands approximately 53" tall with its goose neck fully extended. It has a Saarinen'esque tulip base and Flying Saucer lamp shade. The base measures 10" wide. The lamp is completely original and in very-very good working condition. Some very small chips to the paint on the base, a scrape to the paint on the edge of the shade and a few spots of really minor corrosion to the brass on the goose neck prevent me from calling it mint.

The Butterfly Effect collection is inspired by Laurens experience in studying optical illusion and creating interior products with magical qualities. The layering of patterns on the lampshade creates an interference effect - a type of optical illusion that results in the butterfiles to flutter magically.
