Kimono Pendant

This new design from Cathy Waterman will give you panic attacks. The first one we received didn't last long enough to post on the site, so we have ordered more. This pendant is 2" including the bale and a slender 1/2" wide, with a raised 22 karat matrix flower. How can something so edgy be so timeless and beautiful, we ask? Shipped on a black velvet cord. # CW 9108 $9,320.00
  • I live in a beautiful part of Australia, on the coast, about 4 hours south of Sydney, with my husband Ben and 2 gorgeous children, Jack (5) and Abbey (2). With a love of Asian/Oriental furniture, homewares and accessories and an obsession with beautiful and unusual pendants, I decided to make my own with an Oriental/Asian influence. I love working with with handmade Yuzen Washi Paper. It is so strong and the colours are so rich and vibrant. Many of the papers I work with have a lot of gold and silver work through them. Adding the resin just makes my pieces stand out even more. Yuzen paper designs are usually based on kimono fabric designs. Very similar, except it's a bit hard to wrap an A4 piece of paper around your waist! I am now also incorporating a lot of Kimono fabrics into my designs too.
