Helmut Lang Cropped Leather Jacket The lambskin leather of this jacket is so deliciously, creamy soft that any style details are almost beside the point. However, the design of this cropped jacket is amazing. The 4" tall ribbed knit collar can be worn up, and is fastened with four double snaps underneath, which give the closure an off center look at the top (where there's also a bit of a trench yoke as well). The stand collar closes with two hooks, below which is a fabulous notch collar that swoops into a cutaway shape at the hem. Herve Leger PREORDER Metallic Empire Dress The ultimate Leger glam comes in the form of a very fitted slip dress with an empire cut. The fabric is to die for -- very heavy stretch bands in nude that are extravagantly covered in gold foil, so the it just glows (and it weighs a ton, so be prepared!). The V neck dress has tank style straps and an empire line with cool bra-style shaping. The body of the dress is composed of progressively larger horizontal fabric panels. Two 1/2" wide vertical bands run down the center back of the dress, which encases the 22" (almost top to bottom) invisible rear zipper. We love the very many details that update the little crop shape into something truly special. The neck is a jewel shape rimmed with 2 1/2" of trapunto stitching, and it closes with two off center leather-covered buttons. Underneath the neckline front and back there are small stitched down pleats, which immediately open up to give the jacket its great bubble shape. The sleeves are very cropped, with the same trapunto stitching at the cuffs, plus belt/buckle closures. The hem! It's wonderfully "bubblized" all the way around. A wonderful new style. Lined.
