Helmut Lang Cropped Leather Jacket The lambskin leather of this jacket is so deliciously, creamy soft that any style details are almost beside the point. However, the design of this cropped jacket is amazing. The 4" tall ribbed knit collar can be worn up, and is fastened with four double snaps underneath, which give the closure an off center look at the top (where there's also a bit of a trench yoke as well). The front zipper lives under the hidden placket, which comes to a curved point in front. The back is shorter and has 3" of ribbed knit at the hem. We absolutely love the sleeves... they are leather to the elbows and then 10" of ribbed knit, ending with knit stirrups that keep things long and sleek inside gloves. Lined. Stunning. In black.

Gryphon Spine Jewel Jacket This gorgeous jacket is called "spine" because the glittering bead and fabric work running down the front actually resembles a spine, if you look at it closely. However, if you do not like that reference you can rest assured that no one will ever know. The fabric overlays are taupe, edged with silver beaded threads, dotted with faceted crystals here and there and strung with rows of faux pearls. Despite what sounds very glitzy, the jacket is quite understated and very chic. It's a bit misleading to call this a "corset" dress because there is none of the usual boning and structured seaming involved. However, the look created with the wide set triangular cups (doubleweight to the point of feeling almost padded) above a thick empire band with crisscrossing shoulder straps is definitely corset-esque. Herve Leger PREORDER Metallic Empire Dress The ultimate Leger glam comes in the form of a very fitted slip dress with an empire cut. The fabric is to die for -- very heavy stretch bands in nude that are extravagantly covered in gold foil, so the it just glows (and it weighs a ton, so be prepared!). The V neck dress has tank style straps and an empire line with cool bra-style shaping. The body of the dress is composed of progressively larger horizontal fabric panels.
