We cant think of a better combination than DIY-crafts, cardboard, and kids- and Swiss architect Nicola Enrico Stäublis FoldSchool furniture does just that. Whats more, his chairs-for-kids (or for the kid in you) are not products for purchase, but rather downloadable FREE patterns from his website. All you need is a printer, some cardboard, and a pair of scissors, and youre on your way to sitting pretty with your tots on some truly green, interactive, and surprisingly sturdy seating. Your three options are stool, rocker, and chair, each of which are simple to create and would make a great eco-design crafts project for you and your little one on a rainy day.

A creation of Orange22 Design Lab. Inc, the Botanist collection strives to stay within the founding principles of Orange22, creating well-designed elements where emotions are touched through site, shape, and weight. Design Brandon Lynne explains, With Botanist, the challenge was in both design and manufacturing. We started with a beautiful form, and worked meticulously to ensure it would be easy for us to manufacture and sell at an appealing price.

With limited burial space available, Hong Kong officials have begun heavily promoting eco-coffins made of corrugated cardboard. Available in Japan and across Europe, eco-coffins save time and energy, and considerably reducing toxic gas emissions during the cremation process. As Carrie Yau, Hong Kongs Permanent Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food stated, The eco-coffin coincides with the Asian philosophy of integration between man and nature. We will further study the material and design of the coffin and promote the application of the eco-coffin in Hong Kong to bring out the concept of paying tribute to the deceased through protecting the environment.
