I was thinking about those cherry blossom paintings I used to make in first grade by blowing ink through a straw, and sticking pink tissue paper on for the blossoms. This is part of my Color on Copper series. This flower was handcut out of a sheet of sterling silver and then sanded and polished to a high shine. The center blooms with a circle of copper which has been colored with layers of Prismacolor pencils until a rich depth is achieved. The color is sealed and then the circle is attached with a brass screw. The pendant measures approximately 1" in diameter and is strung on a 16" sterling silver chain.

This is the first in my Color on Copper series. The smaller heart is crafted from copper and then layers of color from Prismacolor pencils are added until a rich depth is achieved. After the color is sealed, that heart is attached to the larger hand fabricated sterling silver one with brass screws. Introducing to the world: Nova pendants! These little units are my own unique invention/design. Theyre one large metal ring thats covered in folded rubber rings, which are secured by smaller metal rings. This one has 8 spikes of silver, with blue rubber surrounding a large silver ring. The outer spike rings are large enough to easily string most conventional chains through, with one ring set being slightly larger than the others so you know where to hang it. The best part about this pendant? Those blue rings glow in the dark! They are also UV reactive, so they glow under a black light. Tip! You can use a black light to instantly fully charge the glow in the dark properties of this pendant. Hold it under a black light for a few seconds on each side and it will glow super bright. The way the non-glowing metal rings are positioned make it look just like a glowing snowflake. Great layering necklace.
