Almost the same comment, kinda sorta. I can get behind the Mary Poppins bouffant made from Diet Coke cans & topped w/ a glimmery purple pompom taffeta scarflike business, but theres something about the pieces of purple taffeta garbage bags lining the shoes that i just cant get behind--& which subtract from the total impact of the dress [wherein its construction from iridescent purple taffeta garbage bags matters less cos it's so utterly utter. You know.

Okay, it has come to my attention that Leigh Bowery is certainly the fashion muse of the End of the First Decade of the New Millennium. i hope he is somewhere & that, wherever he is, he is enjoying this. i also hope that, per his influence, people become so inured to seeing people wearing silken black inner tubes that they become work wear for whoever may so want, including temps. i am not kidding, btw.
