A native New Yorker, Lara Kazan graduated from NYC's Laguardia High School of the Arts. She earned her degree in fashion design from Washington University, and spent seven years designing on 7th Avenue. In 1999 Lara left a steady designing career and, together with her brother Wayne as her business partner, formed Lara Kazan Designs.

These antik Bolivian hats are called Chullu's. They are traditionally hand knitted by a boys father while the mother preparing to give birth. Each Chullu is wildly colorful and has a pattern of it's own, so they are sold as a one of a kind unique item.
