An elegant Satsuma vase, cream background, decorated with the trunk and branches of a cherry blossom tree. Typical Satsuma gilded outlines and diaper pattern to top and base. Vase measures 21.5cm high (8.1/2 inches), and is 9cm diameter at its widest point (3.5/8 inches). It bears the crest mark of the Prince of Satsuma and the mark of Japan. Probably Meiji period.
