The title says it all! It was fused so many times all the while I kept adding more and more layers and pieces of different colored dichroic glass. It catches the light in all directions and has so many interesting things to look at. it measures 7/8 of an in. wide (22cm.) and 3/4 in. tall (20cm.) It comes with a black silk cord.

"Geo" is short for "geometric." This style of vase is composed of different blocks of color placed in various designs. Colors used and placement of the elements on each vase change from piece to piece and vary widely. Our most popular has been the "rainbow" vase, with colors like the one on the right.

Our "dichro bamboo" is so named because the irregularly spaced lengths of dichroic glass on the pocket resemble rows of bamboo. This stunning contemporary style is available in three pastel colors (turquoise, cherry and spring) and three dark colors (red, bottle green and cobalt). The dichroic glass on the pastels is clear backed and on the darks is black backed, giving a different color intensity. All colors are available in the each of the sizes shown.

Doug Latta began fusing glass as a hobby in the mid-90's. Now in his seventies, Doug lives in Oregon and works with glass just for the fun of it. Originally, Doug made only clear vases. With time and experimentation, the line has expanded to include colorful pieces in a wide range of styles. Doug's love of the medium shows in these delightful wall pockets that can hold water, flowers, pencils, matches or whatever your imagination can dream up. Some of the glass Doug uses comes from the discards of the Oregon Buoys, highly collectable replicas of the original glass bouys formerly used for shipping in the pacific northwest. Doug takes pride in creating a fine hand crafted product and no two items are ever completely identical.

For this artist, misfortune turned into good fortune when an injury caused a long rehabilitation, presenting an opportunity to discover the incredible and fascinating dynamics of fused glass. After many painstaking hours, Bobby created a new technique that has enabled him to take the best qualities of ceramics and glass blowing and fuse them together. The results are webs of glass, created with hundreds of individually cut and carefully placed pieces. In addition, Bobby has perfected a technique in which he fuses different colored sheets of glass together and then sandblasts away layers, revealing the shapes and colors of monarch butterflies, leaves, and branches.
