A stunning red taffeta cocktail dress from the 1950s has so many lovely details. The color is a bit truer of a red than what is being portrayed. The fabric has that nice bit of sheen good taffeta has and it makes that girlish swish sound when you move. I love the detailed seaming through the bust and how it all points in towards the centre of the waist so the eye sees an even tinier waistline. The dress has a panel inset of cotton velvet in the exact same shade of red that runs through the bodice and all the way down the front of the skirt. The back is cut so the fullness seems to spring out form the small of the back. It has been photoed with an additional crinoline under it (not included) but does have a built inn underskirt so is very full on its own. I love this dress and so will the lucky girl who buys it!

Dresses like this are why girls fall hard for forties frocks and collect them and hoard them, whether they wear em or not! The silk has a chiffon like texture to it and is printed with an amazing red and green print. The front gathers and dips to emphasize the bust and the garment has those classic lindy touches, a cuff high shoulder and a fabulously swingy skirt. It has been worn and loved so is not completely perfect but is still wearable as is. there are some small spots where the fabric has caught and torn. I will send it reinforced in every spot so no further damaged will be caused if you only dance with a tiny bit of care! It is priced accordingly and is a tremendous bargain as these bright colored prints are getting harder and harder to find!

An absolutely gorgeous 1950s crisp cotton frock whose print reminds of me of sunny, spring meadows. It has a superbly full skirt that I have shown here with a crinoline underneath but it can of course be worn without one and still be lovely. The best part of this dress is the bodice and way it is gathered around the shoulders and neckline. The shoulders are cut so you could wear them off the shoulder as shown. It's generous cut paired with simple lines means this could easily be tweaked to fit you perfectly if needed. I would be tempted to shorten the skirt just a few inches but have left it as is since it is the original length. Its a great dress that can go from a casual day of shopping to a dinner appropriate ensemble.

An amazing and very risqué cannabis leaf print is a rare accent to this prim-and-proper, fit-n-flare 50s dress. Straight out of Reefer Madness! It has a high neckline with pintucks on the front, flanked by a tiny ruffle of cream lace, and a bow at the neck of the same fabric.
