just love the colors and designs of this felt soap pile that Shalana had on her flickr site. tonight we continue the feature on the funkyfelter... We asked Shalana about her inspirations. I’m very inspired by abstract art, children’s art, and children’s book illustration. Bright colors and simple shapes seem to linger in my mind and inspire my work. Also, the process of creating and element of surprise are inspirations. Often times, with feltmaking and even hand dyeing, you really never know what your end result will look like.
