Beachworld is a miniature biosphere, encapsulating the fundamental workings of our own Earth. It allows you a rare insight into aspects of nature which you can only normaly read or hear about.
The Gorgonia Sphere encoporates white sand, gravel and multi coloured shells to create a natural environment for the Hawaiian shrimp (known as Opae-ula) who live there.
Beachworld shrimps are sustained entirely in a marine environment. Much less hassle than other pets, the shrimps do not have to be fed or have their water changed as the only elements required are heat and light! The light causes the micro algae to produce oxygen and food for the resorceful shrimps, which in turn provides carbon dioxide and nutrients for the algae to grow.
