Couturious founded in November 2005 by CSM artist Debra Franses Bean. When a house fire left her without a home she turned the charred remains into an art exhibition. The centrepiece of the installation was a blackened chandelier – the shadows falling on the wall became the inspiration for her chandelier shadow design.
