Eldridge Smerin
"This is the work of London architects and designers Eldridge Smerin. The first is a 3 storey extension to a Victorian building with narrow planes of glass allowing light and views. Look closely at the staircase - individually laminated sheets of timber gently curving to form the stair. And the last images reveal their mastery of the juxtaposition of mass and void, nature and modernism. Breathtaking spaces." - article posted by desire to inspire ...
Roger Hirsch Architect
Award winning SoHo based architectural firm Roger Hirsch Architect produce imaginative, functional balanced work. Designs encompass residential and commercial but I think their spatial solutions for apartment living are their forte. The murphy bed solution in the fourth picture is genius. More drool worthy ideas on their website.
"Patricia Gray is a Vancouver based interior designer. Her award winning interior designs have a warmth to them and are personal, livable, elegant spaces with clever use of space as well as innovative materials and furnishings. Patricia has worked with some notable personalities including John Travolta and Rob Feenie and her firm's projects are throughout the US and Canada, as well as in Japan, Singapore and Africa. She has just started her own blog which promises to be a great new edition to the design blog scene. Check it out." blog by desire to inspire, one of my favorite blog friends for inspiring me.
(This is great eyecandy, I think!) Here's what it says: This blog was started so that we could share our favourite inspirational design photos with you, and we would like to give you the opportunity to share yours with us as well. This is what we need you to do. We welcome links to great design sites or photos, but links are preferred so our inboxes don't fill up.
"Sydney based architects Hayes De La Vega produce wonderful modern buildings and interiors but the past is strongly referenced as well. Detail to attention and consideration of the site and it's environment are paramount. I love the organic feel of some of their work as well as the slick modern nature of other interiors. I particularly love the teak draining floor of the last bathroom and the view afforded by the alfresco bath."

Enlightened
great post by desire to inspire:
What did I find when I got home from work? My inbox overflowing with images of super stylist Megan Morton's latest work, this fabulous apartment in Sydney's new iconic residential tower Lumière. Megan you take my breath away. Fun, funky, and a cacophony of colour. When can I move in? (See more of Megan's work here and here and here and here - another absolute DTI favourite.) Don't forget to click on the photos to see every detail in supersize. "
"The fabulous Megan Morton sent so many photos to share when we were guest blogging on design*sponge. This is a look at her take on modern spaces. You can really feel the vibe of the clean minimalist lines in her shoots. Thanks Megan. You get to see the insides of some amazing places!"

"Jonathon Segal is considered one of San Diego's most successful and pioneering residential architectural and development companies. Jonathon designed and built this family residence with its incorporated architectural studio. Light, transparent and with expansive views I'd like to move in myself! A beautiful impressive house and an inspiring workspace. There are more inspirational buildings on his website"
thanks to desire to inspire for this beautiful interior "Dreaming of a heavenly home? A little piece of paradise? How about this converted church in my home town of Brisbane? The living areas are open plan with soaring cathedral ceilings. Of course the kitchen is an altar to all things gastronomical. Im not going to make any baptism jokes about the plunge pool because its just so perfect for our subtropical climate. Currently on the market it would be a sin not to buy. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a cellar room for the altar wine."
beautifully detailed modern interior with the layering of glam, luxury, lush fabics & materials, an intersting colour palette of dark blue as an accent colour - love it.
thanks dti - "The last post was just plain cruel! I shouldn't rub in the fact that I live in God's own country with the most beautiful beaches open to everyone and the most amazing climate. Sorry that it's freezing in your part of Canada Kim. Really I am. To make up for it I'll show you another house in Noosa. This is my dream house in the super rich playground. Think I have just enough money for a cappucino after a swim in the ocean and this will remain a daydream." love this post
