Koivukoski uses durable stoneware clay as her raw material; she works it by hand and by pressing it into moulds. For her a square, "ruutu" in Finnish, is like an empty canvas where she can find new glazes and patterns over and over again.

Designer and jewellery artist Ari Turunen's idea was to make unmelting "ice" cubes from this material. The cubes can be refrigerated and used over and over again, in literally "on the rocks" drinks. Turunen works at Fiskars Village; he likes to combine silver and stones in his jewellery.
