Iittala Birds have become a global phenomenon. It all started in the early 1970s when the Finnish glass artist Oiva Toikka designed the first glass birds. While Oiva Toikka continues adding new birds to his collection, Iittala is also introducing a new generation of Iittala Birds in 2007, designed by the Italian artist and jewellery designer, Giorgio Vigna. The Vigna Collection is refined and sculptural.

The „Sitscape“ is a seating zone with a length of six meters. The form transforms the usual use of a couch. The design is based on specific seating positions and smooth transformations between them. Based on the preferred relaxing positions of the client we generated six basic positions and formed a perfect fit for them in the “Sitscape”. The “Sitscape” is a „customized mass product” that can fulfil different demands and forms with the same structural principle. The main structural elements are the sections, which are digitally cut out of laminated wood. The connecting structure is a steel and aluminium construction, which is minimally visible. The prototype will be finalized with white leather upholstery, laminated wood with white finish for the sections and polished aluminium connections.

The capital Baghdad, the new Babylon, a symbol of multiple, ethnic, cultural and religious identities, a sort of concentration of all humanity. The top of the New Baghdad table is made up of tens of different industrial aluminium profiles each one with a specific purpose, which together make up a map of the capital of Iraq, ploughed by river Tigris. The designer Ezri Tarazi's idea behind the table is that each shape's various identities are merged into a cohesive plan. This table is perfectly level and has no prop structure. This is possible thanks to the great skill in welding the contours. It is available in two different sizes and highness. This is a hand-made to order item from Edra in Italy

I found these on the MoMA Store site, and when I read the description, I literally squealed with happiness. Not only are these bowls beautiful and modern-looking, but they're actually functional for us normal people too! They're dishwasher and microwave safe! The only downside is that they are porcelain, so you really don't want to serve anything like spaghetti in them, because they'll come away stained and then you'll have to break out the vinegar and the pumice to try and get it out.
