Vintage late-60s, Woodstock-era fringed suede vest. In an earlier age, say 1969, this vest would have been the skeleton upon which art would be applied -- beads strung onto the fringe, painting, embroidery or beadwork added to body. As it is, I'm glad this beautiful chestnut suede vest was been left au natural, as it embodies a freshness that should step out of a modern closet. With its simple, geometric fastenings and its short fringe, the garment is able to bow to history without being camp. The body shows a beautiful color variation in the suede. Combine with your favorite layers. At night, wear as is -- and let your body speak.
