Kachurik uses a technique of coloring the hot glass surface, which is called veiling. A veil is a metallic coating that is applied to the hot glass, and then covered with clear glass, thus trapping the color inside the sculpture. Kachurik is an independent glass artist who experiments with precious metals and chemicals to create his own colors, which are unique to his line today. These transparent sculptures maximize the extraordinary inherent qualities of glass. Every design is handcrafted using wooden blocks and newspaper to work with the molten glass. After the sculptures have been annealed, they are hand ground and polished. Each flat surface of the sculpture must go through six different steps of polishing to achieve the optical polished finish. The facets are added to give visual enhancement to the interior glass veiling. Each piece is personally signed.

Tom Bloyd and his wife, Julie have created the perfect art glass blowing team. Tom is the lead glass blower and Julie his able assistant. No accomplished glass blower can be successful without a competent assistant he can work in harmony with. Tom Bloyd received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in Glassblowing and Metalsmithing from the University of Kansas in 1992. Immediately after finishing his schooling he started his own studio and has never looked back. He uses the metalsmithing background to create sophisticated stands for his multi tiered fountains and has become equally well regarded for his whimsical multi colored fish. The fish are made with multiple "bits" of glass to the belly that are textured, cut and sculpted.

Wes developed the Glass Color Field Series in 1984. These pieces are instantly recognizable by the intense colors and patterns that are essentially drawn onto the surface of the glass at temperatures of more than 1,600 degrees. The forms have changed over the years, but they have always been simple enough that the shape of the piece never detracts from the increasing complexities of the surface decoration. The millefiori and other decorative elements on my vessels may echo the contours of the piece or establish a contradictory rhythm. In either instance, his goal is to execute a design that always integrates the structure of the form and the surface drawings.

Epiphany Glass Art sculptures, paperweights In 1993 April Wagner and Jason Ruff began creating work collaboratively as Epiphany. Their artistic method of creating together speaks of a combined aesthetic. The artists equally design, develop, and create each piece signed under the epiphany name. All aspects of the epiphany works are created solely and entirely by April and Jason; no assistants or studio apprentices are allowed to work on the creations of glass works. The process used by Epiphany is traditionally termed fazzoletto, which means the glass is blown in free form. This is an ancient technique developed and mastered by Italian glass blowers over many hundreds of years. The epiphany pieces are created referencing the Italians, but adding a contemporary twist that consists of complex color theory plus a unique way of sculpting solid glass bits onto the exterior of the pieces. No molds are used during the creation of any piece.
