Peter Philips, global creative director of Chanel Makeup, created a simple yet stunning spring 2010 beauty collection. Les Impressions De Chanel is a line of clean, classic neutrals that makes every woman feel pretty without piles of face paint. It's about enhancing, illuminating, and highlighting without tons of color — effortlessly chic and naturally beautiful. Here are five reasons why we love Chanel: 1. After seasons of crazy nail colors, it's refreshing to go back to the basics. 2. Natural is sexy. Sometimes the best kind of pretty is the one that doesn't make a splashy statement. 3. The powders are almost too pretty to touch. 4. Every season the house creates an item to covet. Remember how fast the Jade polish sold out this fall? 5. We're dying to see what Peter Philips has on tap for next season.

Christina Aguilera as the new face of Stephen Webster jewellery websterchristina.jpgWe reported a while ago that Christina Aguilera was set to promote a range of jewellery from Stephen Webster, and here's the proof! Looking more than a little bit like a blonde Liz Taylor, dripping in Webster diamonds, the new mum will be gracing the glossies in the full ad campaign in the coming months, starting with W magazine in April. It's a far cry from those Dirrrty days, isn't it? [Source]

I'm sure we can all sympathise with Donna Karan's reflection on her spending habits over 35 years: "...Before I knew it, I was able to fill a warehouse. It just got out of control." DKNY Designer Donna Karan will be selling over 2000 personal items for charity. From inspiration pieces and couture gowns worn by Barbara Streisand, shoes and accessories to photos and her bed, everything is priced between $20-$2000, and all proceeds will go to the Urban Zen Initiative, founded by Karan herself in 2006 to "promote well-being, preserve cultures and empower children". Those lucky enough to be living in the New York area can pop into the Stephan Weiss Studio at 711 Greenwich Street, where all items will be on sale on the 14-15 March. Karan hopes to inspire annual private warehouse sales that would include more personal items from other designers - now that I would like to see! London designers, take note...

I wouldn't exactly call myself a hearts and flowers kinda girl--I try to avoid the sappy stuff. But these heart greeting cards are right up my alley because they are such an inventive take on a tired, but classic symbol. Photographer Rick Ruggles has photographed more than 2,000 hearts exactly as he's found them - in a water droplet on a parked car, in a break in the clouds, in a scrawl of graffiti. I Heart Them!
