Lovely vintage 1930s bias cut evening gown in a hard-to-find larger size. This dress is fashioned from black rayon crepe. The sleeveless bodice is covered with a capelet style overbodice that has beading along the slits over the arms. There are small rhinestone X’s with a rhinestone bow at the bodice front that emulate lacing. This dress is cut on the bias and hugs your curves. No closures so allow enough ease to slip the dress on over your head.

Stunning vintage 1950’s party dress was sold by the exclusive Jay Thorpe boutique on West 57th St. in New York. The fitted bodice is fashioned of silky rayon jersey knit. The wide scoop neckline sits at the edge of the shoulders and the 3/4 sleeves have bow ties at the cuffs. The full skirt is fashioned from crisp black taffeta that is pleated onto the dropped waist. The skirt forms a full circle when laid flat. The neckline and dropped waist are edged with black velvet piping. The dress closes with a side metal zipper and is unlined.
