Caroline designs and produces fine bone chinaware from her studio in South East London. After graduating from Central St Martin's College in 2000, she experimented with lighting and combining ceramic with metal until she fell in love with bone china about two years ago. Although it is an expensive material that can be difficult to cast, problematic to fire and absolutely hellish to glaze, Caroline has stuck doggedly to her mission. Quite simply, because it is beautiful. Bone china is exquisitely refined and possesses a translucent property that is quite breathtaking. On top of that, it is quintessentially English and Caroline certainly loves a challenge.

This light has a large china ceiling rose with thirty six bone china discs suspended. The light is available in either plain white or with twelve vintage patterns as shown, or with a pattern on the inside of each disc. The large china ceiling rose fits to the ceiling invisibly with a clever aluminium bracket that fits over the plastic ceiling rose inside. Bone china

These strings of lights were designed to hang as clusters. The largest cluster available has 16 shades on a string but I do make smaller clusters and single pendants as well.
