But it's Gina Fratini, so it's perfect--not somewhere between Bill Gibb & Vivienne Westwood, but almost kinda sorta not really. I'd buy it in a second if I could afford it.

I cannot read Italian &, in truth, i did actually [as well as inadvertently] stumble upon this website, but the clothes are worth posting & so i did. I hope [as well as assume] someone else here can read it.

I know it is better to buy stuff, but perchance it is also better to dream. These are in the hundreds & thousands now &, even if the market has dropped a minor magnitude due to the New Depression, they'll hold their value. & the more unusual Ossies are not even that easy to see, much less own, so herew/ is one of them, again from the Met's Costume Institute, one of the best fashion resources, online or IRL.

".....too loyal to the archive to be..... relevant today," says Elle UK about Avsh Alom Gur's designs for Ossie Clark's peaceful resting revamp. You can pick-- I think Mr. Shalom, here, did a really nice job. I'd rather see this than ANY sort of, well, re-re-re-re-revamp of jeans [work drawers, dungarees they called them] or a tenth removed rip-off of Alexander McQueen's ripping off of Vivienne Westwood [I like Alexander McQueen, btw, just as an aside] [& of course, VW has borrowed elsewhere--just a lot earlier & a lot less trendier]. Beautiful stuff. I was always trying to get my hair to look like this instead of as per the h. naoto from the Gothic show I recently posted. Never worked, tho. Ah well. Or, rather, I guess this sorta looks like me--when my hairdresser's around, I am well [rarely], & because when I almost died [last time], I bought a perfect wardrobe to keep me motivated. When the drummer was yelling @ me.

The floppy layered shoulder frills fox this dainty little dress up a little and give it the perfect touch of drama in contrast to its prettiness. Made in an inky ocean blue rayon, it swings so nicely and the frill around the hemline gives it extra swirl and swoosh, as do the pleats at the front. Celia's lacy flower bracelets are fresh and bright in the chalky smudgy shades of a bohemian wildflower garden.

A blazing summer dress.....chalky strokes of amber and ochre floating on ultramarine...the colours are scorchingly bright. The fabric is a lush thick faux chiffon with lots of weight in the tiers to give it that cute flippy swingy movement. The print is dense and tropical.....scribbly black and sunny flowers squashed up with cactus-like spikes and swampy leaves....I think Celia magically harnessed a searing summer's day and forever locked it up in this dress. Bust: up to 34 inches Underbust: up to 29 inches Length: 40 inches Labelled: Ossie Clark for Radley size 14

A dreamy diaphanous dress, unashamedly romantic from its mini trumpet sleeves down to its heavy gypsy tiers. It IS see through, but its a filmy kind of illusory transparency, Ossie most definitely gave this a lot of thought, so you don't have to. Just wear as it was meant to be worn. Underthings will spoil its gauzy carefree vibe. Celia's chains of overgrown daisies snake their way around the fabric, inspiring you to mischief in an english country garden on a hot summer's night. A blush of dusky pink velvet is the canvas for one of Celia's most extravagant prints; huge dotted lilies rioting amongst densley packed graphics. Ossie's magic velvet coat is pure romance. Designed for Quorum in the early Radnor Walk days, it was cut when the High Street was still frolicking in mini skirts and Ossie still had the power to shake the fashion world by altering a hemline. The aristocratic hippie crowd were shopping in Antiquarius for Victorian blouses and '30s chiffons and Ossie, also inspired by past eras, was creating bewitching infusions of all of them. This is a rich and dashing coat, cut to perfection and suffused with the original heady London hippie vibe.........as intoxicating as a whiff of opium.
