Absolutely beautiful, museum-quality vintage 1930's evening gown by the legendary Liberty and Co, London. A rare treat in stunning condition. Soft black velvet gown with rounded neckline, long sleeves and fitted cuffs which have tiny worked buttons and loops to narrow the fit if necessary. The bodice falls in delicate folds to the waist, front and back. The discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in the early 1920's fuelled the art deco period's taste for Egyptian inspired design, and this is reflected in the exquisite gold thread smocking which decorates the neckline, cuffs and waist of this fantastic gown. Under the smocked waist panel, the skirt flares gently to the floor, and is finished with an elegant scalloped hemline. Poppers at the left shoulder and poppers/hook and eye fastening opening at the left side. The Liberty and Co label is inside at the waist.

Ballgown beauty of a vintage evening gown from the late 1940's, in dusky dark salmon rustling rayon acetate fabric. Red-carpet glamour, with semi-sheer delicate floral lace panels at the front of back of the upper bodice with squiggled seam and gorgeous leaf shaped cut-out panels with lace inserts to the lower bodice! Piped seam around the fitted waist, with little darts and the back and semi-circle detail to the centre front. Stunning skirt from a full circle of fabric so perfect for twirling in! The skirt is decorated with three more leaf-shaped cut-outs to match the bodice - an elegant touch. The lace of the bodice and the cut-outs is lined with a thin layer of cream mesh to spare your blushes. Fastens at the side with a metal zip. Very pretty, bright and breezy vintage day dress from the early 1950's, in pale blue and white leaf-patterned crepe fabric - a dream to wear! Dolman elbow-length sleeves with pretty shaped cuffs trimmed with clear faceted glass buttons. Diamond shaped gussets to the armpits, gorgeous sweetheart style neckline and three clear glass buttons to fasten to the waist. Cute little rounded pockets at the bust, each trimmed on the flap with little glass buttons. Waist darts front and back, and metal zip at the side to fasten. The skirt is panelled and nicely flared, with hip pockets also decorated with glass buttons on the flaps. A lovely chic and classic vintage frock!

A fab little vintage dress from the 1970's by Lee Bender at Bus Stop, one of the British boutiques causing a stir in the fashion world in the sixties and seventies! In grey wool with bold sky blue check, this cutie has cap sleeves with gathered panels down the shoulders, large open collars and zip-fastening front to mid-skirt. It has the original tie belt at the elasticated waist, and very gently flared skirt with shaped pockets at the hips and cheeky 16" slits at the sides! Labelled 'Lee Bender at Bus Stop London' and sized at a UK 8. Dry clean only!

A fab fifties French day dress in 100% cotton with a ditsy small floral print in tones of green on white. Classic dress with short cuffed sleeves, fabulous pointed dagger collars and yoke detail across the top of the chest with green overstitching.
