Vintage 40s Blue Wool Tweed Suit Large bust 40 I don’t often see wonderful vintage suits in larger sizes, so I recommend that you grab this if it fits you! This vintage late 1940’s or possibly early 50’s suit by Continental for Hess Brothers is fashioned of a wool tweed woven with light blue and black yarns. From far away the color reads as a grey-blue. The jacket closes with self-fabric halo buttons and bound buttonholes. The pockets are accented with curved flaps. The long sleeves have fold-back cuffs. The jacket is completely lined in grey rayon crepe. The A-line skirt has a set-on waistband and side metal zipper. It is unlined.

#9974 - c. early 1950's Fabulous Red Wool Coat with Gorgeous Back! Previously owned by a 1950's/1960's runway model!! She kept some of her favorite pieces. No surprise she kept this one. Soft red wool with pocketed front (see photos) and fabulously gathered, belted back. Turned up cuff sleeves and collar to wear up or down. Excellent condition with just a tiny bit of minor moth nipping at fabric. No holes... just the nap nipped down (see photo for one). Impossible to see unless inspecting. Heavy weight coat... the kind of wool coat they don't make anymore. Fully lined. Measures: 34-36" bust, up to 30" waist, 45" long from shoulder to hem, 17" long from shoulder to waist (fairly long-waisted). The buttons can be moved 1", as they were at one time. NEW LISTING! Incredible vintage 1950s skirt suit by Rothmoor was sold by the Berg Style Shop in Huron, S. Dakota. (Dont ask me how it got to Boston!) This suit is exquisitely tailored, as all Rothmoor suits and coats are. It is fashioned from a tropical weight wool in a soft brown fleck tweed. The jacket is belted and buttons at the front with grey carved plastic buttons and bound buttonholes. Angled flapped pockets are found at the hips. The best thing about the jacket is the hidden button under the collar at the shoulder. You use them to button on the matching cape! The cape is seamed at the shoulders to match the seams of the jacket armhole so it drapes properly. Both the jacket and the cape are fully lined in brown rayon crepe. The straight skirt has a set-on waistband and side metal zipper. It has angled darts on the outside of the skirt front for a decorative detail. The skirt is unlined.
