This is a neat new base yarn I picked up. It is 81% wool, 17% Mohair, and 2% Polyester. The poly wrap string dyes slightly differently, so it adds some kick (and kink) to the yarn, plus a subtle sparkle in the light. There are 210 yards per skein (the two available in this listing are matching), and the gauge is 3-4 st = 1" on US 9-10 needles. The pattern is a single complete pastel rainbow every two yards. It is dyed with professional acid dyes. This yarn will felt, but the poly thread may produce interesting results. Otherwise, hand wash and dry flat.

Pinks and Purples dance in a random pattern on this hand dyed yarn. Great for soakers, or other quick knit projects, and felts fantastically. I have a second skein of this listed elsewhere, if you would like both, please contact me and I can put it here for you. The base yarn is a bulky, barely spun (but strong) blend of 60% New Zealand wool and 40% US Domestic wool. It looks hand spun (but isn't), and some would say this is lopi style single ply. There are 120 yards/100 grams, gauge is 3-4 st = 1" on US needle 9-11.
