Ambrogio Pozzis first customers came to him while he was working at his parents ceramics company in Gallarate, where he gave the companys traditional products new forms that have since been showered with awards. Since 1954, Pozzis ceramics have had a regular place at the Triennale in Milan, where they have been winning prizes for decades. He has won a number of Compassi dOro, the most important design award in Italy, and has even taken to the air with his designs for new cups and plates for Alitalia. Pozzi has since opened his own design studio, where he has created designs for such renowned firms as Rosenthal, Guzzini, Thomas and Riedel. Thanks to countless awards and exhibitions such as those in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris, he has become one of the most sought after designers working with porcelain and glass.
