Boris Bally Home

Boris Bally takes the sturdy street sign and transforms it into a stylish dining room staple. He recycles street signs and bottle caps, pressing, forming, and riveting them to create furniture and bowls. He handpicks the raw materials for thickness, condition, color, and graphics. These industrial-strength pieces celebrate a raw American street look. They are as tactile and beautiful as they are strong and unique. Boris Bally fabricates his artwork using retired signage from the Department of Public Works. The pieces are cut, handspun and riveted re-using the old aluminum traffic signs. The final aesthetic result is expressed through functional and non-functional bowls, brooches, key fobs and chairs. Each piece is unique, individually handcrafted and signed by the artist. Due to the nature of this artwork each piece will vary according to availability of materials The entire line includes the Transit Chair and the Transit Table Square and Transit Table Rectangular.
