Move over Judith Leiber. Swarovski is poised to become the next big player in evening bags. Although only in the bag business for about fifteen years, Swarovski has evolved into a fashion-forward brand on trend with colors and silhouettes. Its not surprising that the crystal accents are phenomenal, but after viewing the spring/summer 07 lines, it seems the Paris-based design team has stepped up its game.
My current bag-a-licious pick is Jerry Terrance's Lulu Purse. I love the enlarged giraffe motif. Its not as aggressive as other animal patterns and the dark chocolate and white is an easy blend with any fashionistas wardrobe.
Socoley, a new brand that is to-die-for. Designer, Nicole Guttman has a fresh outlook on handbags. With her signature gold, elongated flower (sort of in the vain of Dali's clocks) she is really going to stand out. My favorite is the fire-red Socoley clutch. It's truly the clutch that clutches you back.

Animal prints are wild again - pardon the pun. You need a lot of confidence to pull off a full length cheetah print coat or leopard print skirt. That's why you should play around with handbags - naturally. Try a small clutch or a bag that has a solid leather base with slight animal print accents.
I had the pleasure of previewing Kate Spade's Spring/Summer 2007 accessories collection and there were no misses. From the python clutches to lobster inspired totes, I was ready to head off to the Cape.
From zebras and cheetahs to leopards and giraffes, animal prints are as hot as the Sarah Sun.
Isharya's Cheetah Clutch is made with pony hair and accented by a 113 carats of green onyx that makes it stand out from the other handbags. It's equal part art, jewelry and handbag.
