A Word From The Artist
I make jewellery to use the body as a natural place to tell a story.
Recently my interest in childhood objects and their formative nature has led me to dissect and reinvent them in my work. I approach these objects as the building blocks of my visual vocabulary. Though their exploration I can rediscover my preferences and tendencies as an artist while encouraging the viewer/wearer to engage through their own memories and experiences.
I have a sense of flexibility when it comes to material, letting the content of my work dictate wich material to use. I am intrigued by the ability of colour, scale, repetition, image, and the element of craft to create value in something otherwise valueless.
