The latest collection by one of my favourite new designers, Samantha Cole, is an equally a visual surrealist treat as her previous collection. Entitled “Warrior”, the new collection displays Cole’s mastery of blending fashion with art and sculpture, a talent that see’s her create some truly original silhouettes. What is particularly striking about Cole’s work though is her ability to craft unusual structured forms, which on paper shouldn’t translate to wearability, but in reality are figure flatteringly so.

I'm obsessed with Lucila Iotti shoes! The super sexy shoes are designed by Iotti in her hometown of Buenos Aires where her father, Jorge Iotti, began his tailoring shop in 1920 (the designer has a boutique there as well...can't wait till March when I'm in Argentina to check it out!). Iotti uses a variety of colors and textures (patent leather , suede, satin, vinyl...) -- her shoes are definitely not for the shy. They're bold, loud, and demand attention, but paired with a LBD and some confidence they're simply magnifique! On a side note, Patricia Field has been a vocal admirer of this brand, so I wouldn't be surprised if one of these shoes make an appearance in SATC II:-) So far the shoes are only sold at the boutique in Argentina, but email info@lucilaiotti.com with the name of the style you like and they can mail it to you via Fedex (prices start at 710 pesos which is around $540).

Inspired by modernist architecture and far-flung civilisations, Scott Wilson is in a creative universe of his own. As an MA student in womenswear and millinery at the RCA, Wilson won a scholarship to work under Karl Lagerfeld in Paris. Catching a flash of a leopard boot and football-shaped baguette last season was enough to have us sitting on the edges of our proverbial seats in anticipation for high-res images of Alexander Wang's spring 2010 collection. After all, the mop-topped charmer's accessories are on a winning streak, with every one of his studded, embossed, and cracked leather goodies selling out faster than you can say "How much for these?". But that was last season during the heyday of the tough-as-nails trend, and as the spikes-'n'-chains thing fizzes out, we were worried that Alex might not be able to play catch-up quickly enough. But, from these product shots, we really had nothing to be concerned about, with playful heels with an athletic kick, a graphic update on the Coco bag, and that leather clutch that you might want to think twice about hiking down the end zone.
