Hans Olsen Bikini Chair Denmark Circa 1960's Hans Olsen for Rojle circa 1963 Bikini chair, a rare example by this noted designer, this progressive design was light years ahead of his contemporaries, with the compound forming of the wood, this was a extremely difficult process which created a limited production and a high unit cost. Perhaps the most imporant design Olsen's career. The linear grain appears to be a crosscut rosewood adding to the form of this piece becoming more a sculpture than a chair, but it is also incredibly comfortable as well. Done in a fine Italian leather this chair would make a great addition to ones collection of rare modernist designs.
