Women working for a fair trade certified NGO (non-government organization) in the Philippines collect these rice sacks from restaurants and other institutions then use their expert sewing skills to produce fashionable bags, backpacks, purses, totes & wallets. Stylish and functional each water-resistant Runaway Backpack is piped and lined in black nylon. The back interior wall has a large pocket the width of each bag while the front wall has two smaller pockets, one flat and the other expandable. The durable black nylon zippers keep the contents of both compartments safe and secure. They are cleverly made with the zippers on the SIDE of the large compartment for easy access to all your STUFF! Attached to the zippers are attractive curved brushed metal silver pulls.
